At 1300m above sea level in the Tyrolean Gail Valley, the village offers ideal conditions for enjoyable tours with impressive views of the Lienzer Dolomites, the Carnic Alps and as far as Italy – without having to overcome major differences in altitude.
Kartitsch also has a lot to offer away from the winter hiking trails: Two toboggan runs with different lengths and levels of difficulty provide variety and fun in the snow. The ice skating and curling rink in the village rounds off the winter offer and delights winter sports fans of all ages.
